Interview with Titan Da Metro Misfit

Hello South Carolinians and World,

This is FiveTrey coming with a Q&A with Titan Da Metro Misfit. Born and raised in Columbia, SC, Titan had a ear for making the best of any situation. He began his music career in 2002. Along-side Bless'd and Kamikaze Prynce, Titan eventually began her solo career as an independent artist and Co-founded what we know today as Swamp Life Ent. After the tragic death of his mother, Titan went for what he knew his dreams to make his late mother proud. The label has grown to an abundance of talented artists from SC and a swarm of Swamp Life followers (better known as Gators) nationwide. Swamp Life's lineup includes such names as Jazmine Phoenix, Kenzo, and Tony Cash. The label is consistently expanding, now including graphic design, photography, recording and music production. Following a simple phrase "The Bully Mission", the Swamp Life camp is looking to break all barriers and show no mercy. Here is the exclusive Interview on SC HomeGrown:
@FiveTrey_SCHG: Today I’m interviewing Titan Da Metro Misfit. Can you tell the fans of SC music and the world where you from?

@Titan1987: 'Columbia, SC. Born and raised.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: You are under the label Swamp Life Ent, which have drop 4 mixtapes in the past 6 months. How does that feel? And how much pressure was on you?

@Titan1987: Ah man it feels good I mean real good, You don't really see no one doing that so to be apart of a Label that is its a Blessing. And when it was my time to Drop it was a lot of pressure because I knew I had to come wit it, and drop some hot shit if I wanted to keep up wit what we had going on.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: With the release of “Love Vs Evol”, where did you get the concept of the title?

@Titan1987: "Well it came from real life shit, and what I was dealing with at the time in my life. The Evol part is really another way for saying "Life" because, if you really sit back and think about it, this life really sometimes is nothing but evol, and you have to ask yourself why is shit going like this, yeah its feeling real evol, but to weigh it out you'll always have love on the other side, no matter if its coming from a girlfriend, a mom, a sister or even yourself someone will always love you. So its all up to you to lean to witch one you choose. But yeah that’s how I came up wit that.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: “My Way” is one of my favorite tracks off “Love Vs Evol”, who did the production?
@Titan1987: Six Man Productions did that one.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: Your sister is Boss Gator, Bless’d Da Gator, and how is it working with family? Are there any ups and downs?

@Titan1987: Well, I cant really say there are any Downs because we all love to do music and that’s it, no fussing no fighting none of that, I guess its like that because we ar eso close and we know if no one else got our back we got each other. So I love it , its all Ups!

@FiveTrey_SCHG: Why did you pursue the career of music? How are your influences Local and mainstream?

@Titan1987: Well I got into this rap game about late 2002/2003, but I was in a group called illiance doing a lot of things but later we broke up and then I went Solo and started to do my own thing but we all stayed by each other and stayed real close, but I’m not really a talker so I said the best way to express myself was music, so this is what I do. And Locally who are my influences, of course my Team and other then that no one locally because what we got going on over here is so left field from what a lot of other people are doing, but there are some people here that has good music I must say that. But mainstream Bow wow, Ace Hood , Drake, Wale, J-Cole.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: We all know the talent that Swamp Life boost, what’s your position in the group and label?
 @Titan1987: Well I’m the Co-Founder and Rapper.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: How do you feel about the South Carolina music landscape? What are the downfalls and benefits of it?

@Titan1987: I Respect it, I respect anyone who goes for something they want. But downfalls are people feel like if you not my nigga we not messing with you. We all need to rock out but it just don’t work like that, but the benefits are once you get plugged in to the right people you get love.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: How would you describe your style of music? Does it reflect your lifestyle?
@Titan1987: I have a very right to point style, if I’m talking about girls talking about cars, money, life or work (job) anything its to the point, and yes anything you hear me say I’ve done it or really will do it or I’ve seen it done before.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: What more can we see from Titan Da Metro Misfit in 2012 and the future?
@Titan1987: Shows and more music, it only gets bigger and better from here.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: Who did most of the production on “Love Vs Evol”? The whole mixtape is something serious!
@Titan1987: Thank You for that and mostly Kenzo did a lot of it!

@FiveTrey_SCHG: If it was one you can change or get back, what would it be and why?
@Titan1987: It would have to be my MOM, I just would love for her to see the man that I have become, and the things I’m doing now I know she'll be so proud of me.

@FiveTrey_SCHG: Thanks for taking the time out to answer these questions. Go ahead and give your shout outs and contact info. (facebook, twitter, reverbnation etc)
