"Welcome 2 Freezy Playhouse" Mixtape Review

Hello South Carolinians and World, This is SC HomeGrown blogger, FiveTrey, with an exclusive mixtape review and interview on HustleBoy Ben Freezy. His name is all around the world and when I mean world, google him! It was a pleasure doing an interview at Eastend Barbershop in Orangeburg SC for this shoot! Yeah, we bought the metro to the o’billa and where else to do it but at the black man country club! We got to some serious question and he step to the plate and brought grand slams. We touch topics where he told me, “take the gloves off”, basically. Listening to “Welcome 2 Freezy Playhouse” I was amazed of the collaboration he has on there. His flow on “Little Kid” featuring Curtis Mayfield is a smooth laid back mellow flow of growing up struggling. Anybody can tell you that the original song is a classic. So, to put a remix to it was brave move, original and a bar raiser! The lyrics are deep and food for thought. “Fire Flame Spittaz”, is what it is. The production is an up-tempo, full of energy that hits you in the face. The chorus is bananas which compliments the production that shows Ben Freezy singing side. Palmetto Fresh added fire to the track with a blazing verse. Where’s the water! He attacked the beat like a beast! Ben Freezy versatility, from singing to rapping is on point. “On My Block” featuring Tupac, yes Tupac! Is a Street anthem that I can blast all day! The chorus explains it all; “Its survival of the fittest, hustle gotta eat” is a power line. “Droppin Dollaz” featuring 4-4 Water is a stunt song! Balling out in the clubs, riding big, pulling chicks what more to ask for? “What’s Up With That” is a high-energy beat and packing fire! Letting everybody know, “Nigga we got swag!” and “Continue to hater”! When you hustle hard, either its legal or illegal you always going to have haters! All of his tracks showcase his singing and rapping skills. Another song you can stunt! Which has me bouncing left and right when this comes on! “World Star Girl” is a song about a female you know that’s bad, sexy, smart and classy. Everybody lust over a girl that you go so hard at. She bad enough to be on World Star Hip Hop! Independent how us males in 2012 likes it to be! You have to bring something to the table than looks! “Watch How I Do” featuring Palmetto Fresh, is a laid back mellow beat that has you swaying from right to left. Talking about the trapping side of the hustle and taking the chances on trafficking on I-26. Which he doesn’t glorify the trap threw the cd, just letting niggas know that it’s possible and watch how I do! “I’m Ballin” is another stunt anthem! You got to back up what you portraying in your music. And he does ball! You can tell by his lyrics and his usage of words, theres no way around it! If you say you are balling out in your songs, smoking loud, buying out the bar, then where’s the proof! Actions speak louder than WORDS! “How I Rocking” featuring Mista Taylor from CHARLESTON, is a good look for SC. To see different cites unite and do a track together is always a plus in my book. Using the Charleston Slang “Rock” which means I’m good, or I fucks with you and how it use in this track, How I gets down. The chorus and beat is perfect combo. With Mista Taylor energy and Ben Freezy laid back mellow flow is a hit! STAND UP METRO AND CHUCKTOWN! “Hell in My City” is a song I can relate too! Ben Freezy explains it all in the chorus. Talking about how people in hustle none stop to get to the point they need to be at! I grind hard and network hard with everyone. You receive a lot of haters and supports but hard to see who’s there for you or just want to see you fall. “Don’t Worry We Hustlin” Featuring Bobby McFerrin is a good remix. It’ll have you feeling like is this the original? But it’s not, that’s how original Ben Freezy is when it comes to music. Not scared to leap out on a limb to make hits! “Everyday we getting money don’t worry we hustling”. Like I said it don’t matter if its legal or illegal, you have to find your knit in the game. Now the second half of the mixtape is the “sheets side”. “As we lay down” is an R&B song for the ladies out here who holds down their nigga or a young lady who is interested in you. “As we lay down, I’m going to make you feel like the stars above”! How sexy is that ladies! “Bow Bow” is an anthem for us fellas that are looking for those girls with that BOW BOW! We know what you mean Freezy! His verse tells it all! Do I need to go on? Yes, “She’s a pro, a freak under the sheets she drop it likes it cold and pop it like a greek! Aw man, that first part of the hook goes ham! The production on the track is on point. Which all the beats are hot! Salute to the production team on this one! I can go on more but want you to listen to it yourself! Check out the mixtape at the bottom of the page! Thanks Ben Freezy for allowing me to do a review on your mixtape! Make sure you check him out and get to know him! In the words of Ben Freezy “Google me! Google will tell you everything you want to know about me”! This has been a SC HomeGrown official review!
